Welcome To New Vienna
Humans
Groups
New Vienna isn't a very old city, but it is a big one. With a population of approximately one million souls (damned and otherwise), no one knows exactly how many of those are immortals. The best guess to date is somewhere around two hundred of each...that's two hundred vampires and two hundred werewolves, not taking into account that sometimes the city receives a few unusual visitors from out of town. The city is located right along the southeastern shore of Lake Erie in New York, with the more densely-populated areas in the north and the older, more historical areas in the south. Since the town's establishment in 1902, New Vienna has grown in leaps and bounds, with several towering skyscrapers piercing the sky in the downtown area. It's generally accepted that vampires own the north end of town and werewolves own the south, but there is no end to the amount of mixing that goes on when youngsters get brave, drunk, stupid, or some combination of the above. Even though the "territories" are pretty clear, there's no guarantee of safety anywhere in the city. Gangs of vampires and werewolves patrol their respective sides, but every once in a while a gang will get bored and decide to go wreak havoc over the "border".
Humans that are not Supernatural Slayers are completely ignorant of the existence of either race and usually rarely attribute any interspecies fighting to particularly violent gang wars. The police are baffled by their own inability to make so much as one meaningful arrest, but rather than increasing manpower on the streets after dark, their fear has actually led to a decrease in safety. Too many respected cops have died; the rookies are spooked.
And so New Vienna, though it appears clean and friendly enough (for a big city) in the daylight, is a dark and grim place under the moonlight. Drug dealers and a small group of pimps work to fill the forbidden tastes of mortals and immortals alike. The best dealers, usually vampires, are hard to find. Since the best dealers are the ones who deal Red Snow, the drug itself is rarely seen on the streets. If you do happen to run across someone who has the stuff, you can expect to at least pay a few thousand dollars for only a very miniscule amount of it. Some of the "gang fighting" that goes on in the dead of night isn't between vampires and werewolves at all--it's between rival drug dealers over the possession of a few grams of Red Snow.
Despite the fact that so many vampires know what Red Snow is made of, most werewolves don't quite know yet. They know that they are the main ingredient, but they don't know what makes some of them valuable and others prospectively worthless. Vampires will generally try to kill any werewolf they see, of course, since a dead deflowered werewolf is preferably to a live one that can and will fight to protect the virgin ones. Most werewolves have caught on to the fact that only the bodies of the younger ones are snatched, however, while the bodies of older shifters are generally burned or left for the police to find. A dead werewolf reverts to either his human or his wolf form, depending on which one he was born in, so the cops think the dead are all either gang members or hapless innocents who got caught up in unexpected violence. The few shifters who have figured out the virgin part have no proof to back up their suspicions, and until they do, they will simply keep their eyes on any youngsters they see...just in case.

Humans
Ah yes, the fleshy ones! Humans really don't need a Feild Guide. What they need in New Vienna is a survival guide. These souls have not yet been turned and are the most common of NV's population. While they may reside in New Vienna, they certainly don't rule it.
They're food, their friends, and they are certainly really unaware on what is going on around them. Some have turned into hidden slayers, bound to destroy as many werewolves and vampires as they can. Other humans are friends of vampires, werewolves, or both and they don't even know it...yet. Most humans are just trying to live their lives, make a few deals, maintain their jobs, and get some cash to survive...
In this reality humans are like wildlife game to vampires, but you, as the roleplayer have to ask the Human in OOC if they want to be turned just yet. Why not spice up a plot first before gnawing on yer neighbor?
Groups
There are a variety of groups and group possibilities. People, supernatural or non, are social creatures. Because of this there are variety of known group kinds for all variations of the human race. These groups can vary in size and can have their own rules. Friend clusters, family bonds, and a sort of sorority or fraternity relations of the supernatural world. Here is just some general information.
Leaders- Leaders are chosen or the position is fought for; that all depends on the species and what kind of group it is going to be. Once a leader is chosen they typically stay that way until they are voted out/killed/or they lose too many fights.
Types- Human groups are fairly simple. There are families, close friends, pimps n hoes, and sororities and fraternities. As for humans that slay supernatural beasts, they have their own groups, small clusters all over the worlds. These groups go by various names, often going by their location.
Vampires are often loners but a group of vamps are often called Clans. Clans are commonly made up of 3-5 members. They are usually composed of vampires that were turned around the same time, or by the same sire. Brotherhoods and Sisterhoods are often very old vampires that are made of one gender or another. These Brotherhoods are usually led by a couple, ancient lords that have stood the test of time.
Werewolf groups are commonly packs. These Packs are led by Alphas and Beta werewolves. Werewolves also have Families; these are made of two werewolves that have adopted or have started a family together.
Dealers- These people, of any species, are in the drug trade. There are suppliers, Harvester's, and drug lords. They have a dangerous, but very well paying job.
Leaders And Names- The first werewolf/vampire/human that starts a group or origination names it. Either the name is made up, or it is taken from the Family last name, or the Vampire Lord's last name. Names that are created can be changed, but if the original leader is kicked out or dethroned the group has to vote on a new name.
Mutiny!- Do not be afraid to challenge or try and kick out a group leader or to take over completely. Just realize that the leader have their reasons for getting the position in the first place. If the fight is going to be a major one (Drug Lord, Brotherhood Leader, Pack Leader), a mod or Admin will view the fight, and make sure it is fair.
